So as you might know, I'm in highschool, and just like with most schools nowadays alot of websites are blocked, most are what you might expect, adult sites like pornhub, hentaihub, brazzers, ect, also social media sites like youtube, facebook, twitter, also ect. Now with most people I don't like the inernet and websites being censord or block, with me and most students being fairley anoyed with this blockade, but when I use the inernet in school I've noticed something quite noticable.
Whenever I use school wifi, having most big websites blocked leaves me having to go out and explore and find websites that aren't blocked, websites that are ussualy really weired or downright cool, this has caused me to find some of my favorite sites on the inernet like Bogleech.com, and one of my favorite webcomics Gunnerkrigg Court. Now like most neocities denizens I rather hate how the modern web is basicaly harbored into like, 5-7 big websites where there is heavy modderation and big censorship, but using school wifi forces me to go out and actually explore the internet.
Now I have to go out and search for cool sites that aren't blocked with most of them being made by only a single person, small freind group, or a smallish community. Now unfourtunetly some small sites are still blocked somehow, evan neocities itself is mostley blocked, with sites that don't have the url .neocities.org in them being safe. I feel like this system (which in any other case would be horibble) is really intresting becuase I now have to act like its the old internet again, manually searching for cool websites, this probably insn't intresitng to most people but i though it was something kinda neat.(Sorry this article is short, I just had this idea and wanted to get it out there)
